There is no ALLSPICE here in Brazil either, but the cinnamon, clove and nutmeg combination is enough to make a perfect pumpkin spice mix. (canela, cravo e noz-moscada).

I don't see that you need allspice since it is just a combination of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, all of which are already in the recipe. Some people use equal parts of each, and some people use 1 part nutmeg, 1 part cloves, and 2 parts cinnamon.

From McCormick:
"Allspice is a cured, unripe berry from a tropical evergreen tree. Allspice when ground releases aromatic notes reminiscent of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg."

From Wiki:
"Allspice, also called Jamaica pepper, pepper, myrtle pepper, pimenta, pimento, English pepperor newspice, is the dried unripe fruit ("berries", used as a spice) of Pimenta dioica, a midcanopy tree native to the Greater Antilles, southern Mexico, and Central America, now cultivated in many warm parts of the world. The name 'allspice' was coined as early as 1621 by the English, who thought it combined the flavour of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves."

Hi, Ana, If you don't have allspice, here's a decent substitue: Mix together equal parts nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Store any unused portion in an air-tight container.
