Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,
The Old Farmer's Almanac

New Years Resolution

Same as always, try to loose a few pounds. Maybe I should change to to "eat better".

Lose? I'm trying to put it on.

Please I joke you not. When I was 21 I weighed 12stone 7 lbs. (1 stone = 14 lbs) Today 48+ years later I weigh just under 12 stone.( I am 6ft 3ins tall) I do eat sensibly ie plenty of fresh meat joints, beef, pork and lamb. Can't stand chicken or turkey, or white fish. But I do eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegatables. Plus don't sit about too much, too much to do and too little time to do it in. Can't think how I found time to go to work. Wish you all luck in your weight drop.
