Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,
The Old Farmer's Almanac

While trying to get home(R.I.) from New Jersey. we took rt.287 and the Tappanzee Bridge.Well, the first exit is rt9 Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Well Gary took a quick turn onto the ramp. After a pitstop we drove into Sleepy Hollow and were NOT disappointed. We saw the Sleepy Hollow church , Headless Horseman Sculpture and Bridge made immortal by Washington Irving. We visited the authors gravesite . the cemetary was a beautiful old treasure, you couldn't help but think of lives and loves, shortlived or long. I'll never forget how fancy's flight sent us into that ethereal landmark!
