OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

While trying to get home(R.I.) from New Jersey. we took rt.287 and the Tappanzee Bridge.Well, the first exit is rt9 Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Well Gary took a quick turn onto the ramp. After a pitstop we drove into Sleepy Hollow and were NOT disappointed. We saw the Sleepy Hollow church , Headless Horseman Sculpture and Bridge made immortal by Washington Irving. We visited the authors gravesite . the cemetary was a beautiful old treasure, you couldn't help but think of lives and loves,shortlived or long. I'll never forget how fancy's flight sent us into that ethereal landmark!
