Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,
The Old Farmer's Almanac

I've just read PJ's 'tips' and the first one mentioned 'carrots'. Well did you know that carrots help you see in the dark. ( ever see a rabbit wearing spectacles).
During the WW11 the british started that rumour to enlighten the Germans as to why the RAF pilots could see them in the dark. In actual fact it was RADAR but that the germans didn't know about. So don't ever knock carrots PJ again. Happy New Year to all my TOFA friends.
