Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,
The Old Farmer's Almanac

In Cohesset (West bridgewater)Ma. there's a memorial for Vets.A Marine, Dean Hardy petitioned the town for 10 years to use this island of ground and was able to get the town to dedicate it. And you don't have to have passed on to have a brick commemorated . Brian's scout troop led the Pledge of Alliegence, a local Pastor prayed for a blessing, a marine (once a Marine always a Marine and now a state trooper) and his wife performed beautifully. The whole time I was thinking "I wish Stuie could see this.'Anyways it was a very moving dedication, because of the fact, this year Dean was honoring his uncle who also served as a Marine but this week passed on from cancer.
