Mine's tomorrow, who else out there needs wishes sent their way?
Remember how she faithfully said happy birthday on the first of every month????
Hope you have a great one! And everyone else this month!
BTW, has anyone heard how Betty is doing? Has she recovered completely?
I know I thought the same thing, she was always the one who threw out the birthday wishes. I haven't seen Betty on in a long time, didn't the stroke affect one side? She may not be able to type anymore? It wouuld be nice if someone who knows what's going on to let us know something. I sure miss her posts.
Since you've been around the boards and know everyone's BD maybe you should take her place? Whatcha think...?
 :crown: :star:
And best wishes for another promising year!
Thanks! Hope to see many more sunny days and healthy years!
To all my cyber friends..."It's five o'clock somewhere!".
To: Colin,YB, Bill Z, Blacksheep, Bumps, Larry and Drew...I have nice Cuban cigars and the drinks are on me!
To all my girlfriends: Redmink, Mousepotatoes, Mary Scott, Dijean,Duomom, Deb...cold beer, cold wine or your special drink, also on the house.
Sitting here enjoying a nice ice cold beer, come join me! And if I forgot anyone, stop by and say so!
Lantana, I hope your day was extra special! :)
I raised a mixed drink your way ... blueberry juice with mixed berry & orange sherbert!!
If the hurricane interrupted your party, there's no reason not to continue now!!! ;)
I saved you a cigar and a cold one, OMG you don't drink or smoke?
Redmink, this is funny, my first and last Hurricane party was in 1984. As Hurricane Diana approached and then stalled, we were prepared with beer, food and smokes to last all night. Little did we know we would be the last dang street to get their lights turned on ..... 6 days later! Hurricane Diana was only Catagory 1 to boot. I lost most of the food in my freezer, short of trying to cook on the grill everything I could. It was hot, muggy and got dark at 8pm. Our dgt was 18 months at the time. My patience was thin after day 2 to say the least. Never again. The next came years later and as Hurricane Bertha approached in 1996, we ran out with every other fool and bought a generator. Still plenty hot but at least we had lights to read by. Since then we've been through 6 more and trust me I dread the thoughts of one even grazing us! Well didn't mean to say a paragraph!
Who said I don't smoke. I have smoked a pipe since I was 15. I reckon I could do that cigar a good service, if not old sheep will do the honours I am sure.
You don't like hurricans but love snow, funny folk in your neck of the woods.
Sussex, you are correct...love the snow and don't like hurricanes. See I grew up in the hills of WVa where snow was plentiful during the winter season. Of course I was a kid then and I loved it! Hurricanes came later in my life and well, I just never bonded with them! lol
The novelty sounds like wore off tho'. ;)
You gave it a good go!!!
Sounds like my old neighborhood, had a Block Party, everyone said they loved it, but never had another one!!
sorry I missed the party. :( My son will be 8 on the 16th, and the "old hen" turns 31 on the 30th. Thanks for the cigar. ;)
Thank you all for the happy wishes. Blacksheep, do hope you enjoyed the smoke and a Happy B-day to your young son!
To Blacksheep's wife and son!!
BTW, if you get to call her "old hen", what terms of endearment does she get to use?
My husband had a guy who played Rugby with him and the team called this young guy Rooster. I alway thought he would have red hair with that name, not sure why I pictured him that way, but anyways he was a good looking kid with brown hair. Go figure.
on accounta there's women present.
