Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sorry folks, and Hi to ALL.

It's been quite a time these past few months. I was in Hospital in December for 5 days - STRESS - then I was on notice to move, which I actually did in Mid August, then I was holding the hand of a dear mutual friend, and helping her with Moral Support and a distant shoulder over a hard time that has just about been concluded.

Now I have been diagnosed with probably needing a pacemaker after fainting twice in 3 minutes a couple of weeks ago while volunteering.

As usual, Never a dull moment up here, North of the 49th!!

As an aside, it did snow last night, not to settle, BUT it was "white fluffy rain".

Wishing you ALL the very very best, I do think of you. Things hit me very hard after Stuie, That was when my father went in for his pacemaker - in Ireland, the same week, and I was a basketcase for a while after that.

I now have NO debts, I am on disability pension now, and I was given "backpay" for alomst 2 years, so that helped tremendously really cutting down on my stress levels.

Still no money to go down and visit "Starblaster". She is doing better now, and has a new job - Pharmacy Tech. The kids are fine and growing like weeds.

Take care y'all.

Thank goodness

You have surfaced, I was getting very worried about you. I started a few emails and then stopped, didn't want to disturb your peace of mind with mindless prattle. Anyways never forget ' No matter how black the night the sun always rises'

Star's 2nd child is a girl,

Star's 2nd child is a girl, Serenity, and is almost 1 now. Yes, we talk about every 3 weeks or so, BUT I do keep an eye on her and have done since we met on the Forums, at least 4 years ago, perhaps even closer to 5 years. I've talked to her Mum, for an hour the last time.
Star has changed jobs, no longer at The Hotel, now she is a Pharmacy help, going for a tech position, and then planning to go to school to become qualified.

Don't get her riled, or she just may return to the Labs and dish out her brand of Nurse Ratchet's punishments.

Actually, computer access for her is somewhat limited these days, no knowing when that will change,
I will pass on the regards of people who have mentioned her here.
