because I have an autoharp. Some of the chord bars need to be changed to other notes. I seriously don't have a musical bone in my body and absolutely zero rythnm (sp?)but it's fun and i've somewhat can plunck about 4 songs. I love the Smoky Mountains songs. So if anyone has ideas (that i don't need an Em for) let me know.By the way of being nosey, does anyone else play and instrument or is learning?

I Remember Someone Telling Me ...

... that Music is where you get to bring up all kinds of things that would be a failure in conversation.

You just autoharp away and don't worry about a thing, it's a good thing!!!

Today my radio station's program "The Crow's Nest" -- which features down-home and bluegrass and folk -- celebrated John Perrine's birthday and played "I Tried To Stare Down My Oatmeal But It Won". His songs are catchy and the lyrics get me to gigglin'.

I learned piano & organ in my tweens, played for the church for a bit. After having a new teacher that was into lounge music, I quit. Until I dated a rock & jazz guitar player in college. Then I moved on.

I have a thumb piano I plunk along with ...
:)

YUP.

Besides, everyone thinks that people who talk to themselves are nuts, but when you sing, the topic mysteriously disappears :)

Bill, radio works!

Also, there's plenty of stuff to get on the 'Net via the programs WinAmp and ShoutCast Radio.

dog trouble?

Many years ago I had thrombosis in my legs and the doc said I had to keep them up. So being off work and bored I decided to teach myself to play the electric organ. I did just that except I never learnt the foot pedals. I really enjoyed playing.
Then we bought a dog!!!!!!! Bless his old heart 'Toby' he was a dream and lived until he was 17 years. The only fault was that whenever I tried to play he would sit beside me and howl. Joke was that even after he went deaf he would see me start playing and off he would go. Never with my wife, daughter or wife's Mum only me. So I just gave up and never played since.
