Hello, all,
Good news. Based on feedback from our forum members, we have made some upgrades that we hope you’ll like! Here are a few of the improvements:
1. Easier to use. You can now sort by Reply Subject, Number of Replies, Created By, and Last Person to Reply.
2. You can tell when other forum members are online.
3. See yours and other people's signature photo/image next to each post.
4. You can directly email each other. (For this option, click My Account and Edit, then select/deselect Personal Contact Form.) To send a private email message, just click on the small envelope image below their contact info next to a post.
We hope that you like what you see! A special thanks to the individual forum moderators who kept us informed and made great suggestions. We couldn't do this with you!

Very good upgrades, and useful ... the Search with advanced functions is a relief and a real timesaver.
Thank you for taking the time to both read feedback and take it seriously! :-)
Is there a way to get rid of the Old Farmer's Alamanac logo that sits on the top of the page? I can't read the text underneath it.
Mike, It's not a flaw on the creation of the web page, I get the same thing whenever I use the browser Internet Explorer version 8, BUT not when I use Apple's browser, Safari for Windows.
You can either change browser programs, or you can read the blocked text by:
Using your mouse, click into the text that you can read under the logo, hold the mouse button down and drag (highlight) until you can read everything.
Hope this helps.
I do miss there being 50 messages listed instead of the few now. I feel the front page is overwhelmed by stickies with a couple of posted messages.
I agree with you Larabug. Often you can actually put on a comment and it comes up on page 2.
It is a pity the 'stickys don't go onto page 2 and leave page 1 for posted messages. Any chance Forum Administrator?

Maybe reduce the number of stickys.
ok, we just reduced the ever-growing list of stickies. we kept the "welcome" and "how to post." our fingers were getting a little too sticky! good idea and thanks.
I think that helped.
you can remove the "summer labs" post as well.
It was the summer labs that convinced me that this forum was the place for me. Sensible people whose comment and behaviour were different to say the least. I read the summer labs when I feel a bit down in the dumps, it makes me laugh and we need to remember summer in this cold cold winter.

They'll just be mixed in with the rest of the posts, so all you need do is use the "search" thing.
The Labs story-telling IS alot of fun!
