Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,
The Old Farmer's Almanac

Last night I was watching TV and saw a gentleman called'Stewert Brand who devised the 'WELL' which was the start of the web as we know it today. Tell me folks is this a mispelling of the surname and is Stuie this gentleman.
The program is on bbc.co.uk and called:
The Virtual Revolution. 1) The Great Leveller. The gentleman is seen speaking to the presenter.
I was wondering if it was a mis-spelling of the surname.
Anyone who knew Stuie personally and sees this programme would know at once.
For me it is too much of a coincedence, right age, right abilitiy etc.
Please put me out of my misery, is this the Stuie I shared the back seat of the van with?
