Joyce lost her dad this morning. He was 85. He had cancer and went peacefully in his sleep at hospice. :(

Emily I too know how it hurts to lose those you love. I went to 6 funerals last year, each a person I cared for and miss deeply. The last was no better than the first, you never get used to it. It hurts every time, if you love you will be hurt, if you don't you won't. I am looking for a poem I read at my wife's mum's funeral when I find it I will try to send it to PJ and ask him to pass it on as it will help Joyce in her time of need.
Please pass on my condolences and I will also pray for her and all those who lose those they love.

I know we all mourn her loss with her, death is a part of life that is just not fair !!

BUT
As you said, at least it was fast.
Much better than slowly dwindling away, getting worse every day and nothing that can be done for it.
HOWEVER, Nothing can bring your Dad back, or any of our loved ones and friends.
Grieve and then Celebrate all the good things that he did. Without Him, WE wouldn't have met YOU for instance Joyce.

just seems yesterday I lost my mom. But is has been 16 months a;ready. I still want to pick up the phone and tell her everything that has happened during the day. My heart goes out to you and your family during your time of loss.

Elsie what you said about picking the phone up and talking to your Mom...come September when football season starts my Dad would call me during the game to talk about the game the players and how much he cannot stand Andy Reid's game plan, I will miss that. :(
