Thanks for any kind thoughts sent gary's way. Although he's still 100% reliant on the PEGtube for nutrition and hydration, we're starting to see a light at the end of this tunnel. his last chemo was on the 23rd and last radiation therapy was the 27th. the week following that was tough. But things are moving along and his spirits are up.The kids and I are doing a walk for head and neck cancer and it's the first annual walk to be held. It's called "Paws for a Cause".You bring your dog..yep, Snoopy will be our token dog.Have a good weekend everyone. <3 Diane
I am so glad to hear he has finished the treatments. Thinking of you both...better days ahead!
So happy to hear he's done with his treatments! I so love the idea of Paws for a Cause! How cool!
because of a generous donation from the store I work at.cool huh?
started this week.Sooo, i built it all up in my mind that he'd come home with a list of foods and i'd be cooking up a storm.Well there's alot more damage from the radiation and until they do studies on how gary can't get the food past his windpipe for fear of aspirating and pneumonia.... no eating. He's pacing the cage and times running out for healthcare.
I had not read this thread. I am sorry to hear that he, you & the rest of the family are having to go through this! I am however, glad to hear that things are going as well as they are and he is done with tx's. Will keep you all in my prayers!
four steps back. That's the name of this season in our life..Just when you think you've gotten a plan together, something gets messed up.Thanks for the kind thoughts.Just going to different cancer web sites and seeing stage IV people talk about what their going through is fearful.
Prayers for you and Gary, and hoping his treatments will be a success :)
