What do I do with small pieces of hand soap? I missed a hint that I heard once on the almanac.

Put the pieces in a small dish and just cover with water. When they have melted together, take it out and let it dry. You now have a new (old) bar of soap.
Some people like to put the pieces in a mesh bag and use it to soap themselves when they take a shower.
