what kind of winter can we expect in the southern new hampshire. winter 2010-11
You should be asking this question in the "weather" forum. Your more likely to get a better answer there
We have just been told to expect a long cold winter with the likelyhood it will start early.
I can't wait. I hate the bloody cold.
All the birds are eating as if food is going out of fashion. Whereas I would normally fill my feeders every 4-5 days I am filling every day. I reckon they know what's coming.
We are having a fine spell at the moment, sunny but not too hot, about 70F during the day but dropping to 43 at night ( I don't go out at night but keep in the warm)
Think I aught to mention Jack I am in Sussex, a wee distance from your neck of the woods.
Memories are the golden chains that bind us all together.
Oh if it would get cold here, and snow at least one time this winter. It's always so exciting when it does. Send some this way

One winter special! On the house!
I'll take it!
Snow looks pretty on Christmas cards but can cause great trouble in my drive.
I dread the snow coming, I still have nightmares about the last lot. I can't lift a shovelful of snow due to wonky shoulder so to clear my drive I get on my knees with a small hand shovel and chuck it into a bucket to be tipped onto the lawn. Takes me about 4 hours to clear my drive. Now I had just about got halfway when my neighbour came and asked me 'what was I doing?'. You must admit it was a bloody silly question. I called her a stupid animal with horns and what did she think I was doing building a sleeping snowman. She didn't speak to me for about 2 months, never could work out why.
Only good thing about Winter is that it is preceeded by Autumn and is followed by Spring.
Come over to the Birthday forum, I have a treat for you.
