Great group. They helped make Bob Dylan popular by recording several of his songs.
Folk singers were very popular in the early 60s (PP&M, Kingston Trio, etc) but fell out of style as hard rock took over the airwaves. I miss it.

Lot's of good folk music.
I used to have ALL of their records. I LOVE PP&M and JOan Baez! They are all so great.. the lyrics and harmony of PP&M was so incredible.
Jet PLane made John Denver famous. His father used to work with my Dad... John told my Dad one day that if his next song was as successful as Jet PLane.. h'd buy his Father his own plane.. It was and he did. Johhn Denver's Father was a pilot.

Although I was a big fan of hard rock, several folk singers caught my attention, and I will miss Mary.
