As we(if you are off) have our hot dogs, hamburgers, sit with family and friends, think of what Memorial Day really means. It's not just the food and drink that goes along with it, but thanking our men and women who have died for our freedom. I have been thinking about Stuart a lot this holiday and have shed my tears. He would be going around to the markers of those who gave their lives for us so we would be free and put the flags in the ground. That is what this day means. You can forget all about the food that you will have and think and thank a solider who came home from serving. I do that all the time when a solider comes into Publix to shop. I hope you do to.
I thank my brother for being who he was and did his bit for us. I thank my neice and nephew in law(Kirsten and Izzy) for what they have done and still doing. And for those who come in here and have served in the past, I thank YOU! God Bless America.
Remember those who made all of this possible.
Let's thank them all....
I was thinking about Ole' Stuie yesterday, about how he did so much for the Amvets, and all...what a wonderful man!
Hats off to all our service people! God bless them all!
