Can one of you folk tell me where the 'Purple Heart' Medal originated from and why the colour.
I have always wondered and this may be the oppertunity for some wise knowledgeable person (on TOFA there are many) to enlighten me.

It's an interesting bit of history Colin, that started back in Colonial times with George Washington.
