we have recently bought our first house iv been raiding gardens bushes and veg patches of all my friends and neighbors the beautiful people they are but then the chickens strip the lot sad times short of getting a green house is there any way of stopping them eating everything without putting them on the bbq, i would be very grateful for any advise and will keep you all informed of my progress

From what you have said so far, I take it you have not tried to fence the area in with Chicken wire have you?

Proper fencing can keep out a lot of critters if properly installed.
