Have you gone fishing, gardening or just fallen asleep in the sun. Perhaps this forum is just toooooo honest for it's own good. Please come back folks else I might think it's something I said.
Sussexman
You can never have enough friends that you can afford to lose one.
:) I'm here lad. I do "dig" every day here, if you catch me. Ok I haven't posted anything for days now, but that doesn't mean I don't search this little treasure box. The others are perhaps just running around their daily routines or busy with something extra that was not in their program (or just fallen asleep under the sun, in a swing between two tall trees he he he he)
I don't think you said anything bad to anyone. There is nothing wrong with being honest me thinks (well, most of the time at least :) )
And I couldn't agree more with your thought about friends. So, cheer up love. I'm sure every one will be back soon
Hugs
I check in almost every day. I really have not had much to say and I guess no one else does either.
This place is just not the same without Stuie.
< sigh >
gotta keep an eye on the forums, it's about all I have time for anymore.
Someone on here asked a corn question which made me immediately think of Stuie..
Summer is here as far as I'm concerned. A lot to do outside and I hear the tomato blight is still in our area, got to treat the plants early..
Busy Busy with the garden and good ole' Summer fun here.
Speaking of blight, we had to take some bugs from the garden to the extension office yesterday along with some apple tree leaves. Waiting to hear back from the tree expert today, but I think it is some type of blight. The bug ended up being a Colorado beatle. They can devour a whole tomato plant in a day. The ag office said that they think they came in on Bonnie tomato plants. The blight that was everywhere last year from Bonnie was not a blight that stays in the ground so not to worry about it this year. The only reason I have any Bonnie plants at all was due to the flood. They were sitting in standing water and so the feed mill gave them to us to stick in the ground instead of tossing them. The ones I can keep the bugs off of are flourishing nicely.
I haven't been around for quite a while.
I moved house, mailing and email addresses and phone numbers have stayed the same.
I have been up to my usual tricks, Volunteering and generally helping others.
One of our former Forum Members has had a spell of Real Trouble, and I have been helping that person - long distance. It is quite amazing just how far shoulders can reach, when needed.
I have also become more acquainted with that person's Family and that person's Best Friend.
More Cortozone shots and finally I can walk a bit better. I seem to need 3 shots every 6 months now, to make an appreciable difference.
Hi to y'all
Peter
was wondering what you were up to.
...well, they say third time...a bit trepidatiously and apparently, not correctly, I've been trying to say 'hey'. Never attempted a forum and my kids don't respond to me on FB, so here I am. Hmmm...do I dare talk to strangers? Just innocently looking up veggies and saw this.:)
Welcome aboard. Glad you could join us.
Just jump right in.. all of us were "newbie's" to these forums at one time.
Just watch out for Blacksheep, he likes those stinky Cigars ;)
Haven't been around here in FOREVER! How is everyone?
Seems that since ole Stuie went to be with the Lord, I just haven't felt like checking in much....I think of him every day when I go out and tend to my garden and remember the corn he shared with everyone each spring!
PJ, how is our little Starzy????? Jared and baby doing fine?
YB, have you enjoyed your MAJOR break from this major pita????? :)
I don't enjoy posting here anymore. I used to love this site chatting with everybody everyday & also the labs. Things changes & most everybody left. They should have left this site just like it was. I miss all the fun we used to have !!!
Mouse, not sure what you mean, email me..
I miss the fun too, rarely ever check in instead of several times a day! Miss harassing YB also!
I check every so often, but I tell you it's kind of depressing to read all the sadness in your posts. Ever heard the saying...Change is the only thing constant? Well it's true. You guys have to embrace it and move on. It's ok to remember how it used to be, but it's also time to let it go. . Keep it light and c'mon back!!!
And Hey Sussexman, are you keeping up with the World Cup? Did you watch the Collegiate Rugby 7's? My husband has played rugby here since 1975, he played his last game 2 yrs ago. You may have have heard of our 7's tourney held every 4th of July-- called the Cape Fear Rugby 7's tourney. We have had many English teams over to play. Just thought you might enjoy that little piece of trivia. Y
Ya'll keep on postin'and I'll keep on reading!
Lantanalane,
Thank you for this inspiration.
No point in  in the
as it only makes it uselessly watered-down with no suds!!!
But it takes a village to keep the wolves at bay, so instead of just cruising thru and scoping for something entertaining, why not add something?
There are just as many NEW friendly and kind folk who can sympathize and cheerlead as there used to be.
Someone told me recently that "Blessings only come to those who notice" :)
I am around and really busy with the garden and animals and working 2 jobs. Have a geat summer.
Miss being around here ....
