Does anyone have a home made way to get water to the birds in the winter without it freezing? Thanks, Jenifer
I yahoo answers! your question and there was 2 solutions,
1) Use an aquarium heater.
the second sounds better.
2) buy a birdbath waterheater and an extention cord, this gentleman said once the watering place is established you'll have to fill it daily, that sounds hopeful.
But for a no $$ solution, all I could think of was to use a much deeper basin with a perch of wood across it (or floating) and then break the ice and scoop it out every morning.
