I always look forward to Autumn fishing. Summer bass fishing can be slow due to the amount of food available and the elevated water temperature.
As Autumn approaches bass feel the need to fatten up for the winter and begin feeding heavily.
What works best for me is to use artificial lures and to use a FAST retrieve. White lures seem to be especially effective. Using a fast retrieve allows you to cover more water and also takes advantage of the basses propensity to strike quickly when they cannot take time to evaluate the passing "meal".
Good fishing to all and be careful out there.
