Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Been fishing the last two days. The Crappie are biting. The weather here has been great this week 40's at night 60's during the day.I've caught 9 Crappie so far, caught nothing in the mornings, all caught around 6P.M.. Can't believe I can't catch anything using live bait, everything was caught on a chartruese curly tail jig.

Crappie

I miss the days of catching Crappie on jigs within the city limits of any town USA.

I do recall my first encounter with Crappies and quickly learned to not set the hook so hard. In some cases, not all, I would retrieve a pair of lips that would make me laugh each time.

I enjoy catching scrappy Black Crappie as long as my hand and they sure fry up nicely in a thick beer batter at the end of the day accompanied by an ice cold IPA.

Cheers!
