I got a good heavy wet snow Wed. night, it gave the onion sets and potatoes a good soak, as well as my trees. :)
I still hadn't been seeing many grasshoppers around here at my place, but had been seeing them elsewhere around, so maybe the cold wetness got some of this years hatching! :D
I got 2 more Aspen trees yesterday, they are Quaking Aspens.
I got them planted as soon as I got home, but still have the 4 Sea Green Junipers I bought Wed. to decide where to plant!
My cuttings in the bank of the pond are doing nicely! :D
... I could MAYBE handle it ... and my relatives complain about Minnesota, although they often jump from winter, bypass spring completely and go to a humid summer with all those lakes!
True about the cold taking some of the nymphs, and wouldn't that be nice.
MORE TREES?!??? Larry, you're going to have the only forest for a hundred miles! I wonder if the birds will move in.
I had a friend who stuck willow cuttings all around his pond and I'm glad yours is looking good as well. At least the dogs didn't think they were toys and pull 'em up!
:)
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW say it ain't so Larry! NO MORE SNOW!!! You need warmth and sunshine!
deb
It's sprinkling just enough to make it feel icky, though it felt good on me when I was changing a flat tire on the truck,,,kept me nice and cool while cracking the jack and lug wrench! :D
I had planed on getting some mowing done this morning, but it will have to wait till it dries out now, it's not like it is in severe need of a cutting yet anyway! :)
Friday night we forgot to plug the heater back in in the greenhouse, and a few things got damaged. :(
Looks as if no mowing today!
The stove feels good too,,,I'm sure glad I brought in a bunch of wood this morning before it started storming!
Not much moisture, but should be a help to my new Aspen trees!
,,,And an inch of snow predicted for tonight!
My back has sure been aching from the storm going through as well as it making me drowsy all the time, but I love the bit of moisture!
