Planting in Portland TN (zone 6?) I was wondering if anyone out there around TN or in zone 6 has any seeds in the ground yet?
when would it be a good time to start?
i got some plants growing indoors...
jalapenos and tomatoes. some others that i planted in trays last week but haven't shown up... thinking about planting some cucumbers and watermelons...
any advice. or someone that has a time table for me as to when to plant/transplant.
is it okay to plant lettuce outside or is it too late?

Planting times
Sow tomato and pepper seeds indoors 6-8 weeks
before your last expected frost.Cucumber,squash,melons and pumpkins can be directly seeded outdoors after all danger of frost has passed.Do not plant bean seeds
until your soil has warmed to 70 degrees.
