Today's gardening advice regarding armadillos should also include sprinkling hot pepper powder (I use habanero powder) in the area you don't want armadillos.

I use it in my gardens and it pretty much keeps out all critters with sensitive sniffers and wet noses. Now *I* get to eat my strawberries, not the rabbits AND although armadillos still dig up my lawn, they leave my gardens alone.

Knock on wood we have not had

Knock on wood we have not had any problem with them in our gardens or yard yet. See them dead on the side of the road less than 1/4 mile away often. We have been seeing them now for about 5 yrs in this area.

I am sure it won't be long and will keep that filed away for the future.
