I have no idea

But I await with great interest the replies you will recieve. I was tempted to invent a reason but thought it a little unfair to you.

Do you mean the sign Gemini?

Gemini's time in the moon calendar is for controlling insect pests, plowing and weeding. As Gemini is associated with arms, no wonder!

And Sussex, I'd be interested in your creative thought!

twins

while talking about gardening with old friends it was said that the gardening calendar had twins on the day that above ground crops should be planted. If planted on that day instead of one blossom the plant would produce two. I cannot confirm this from any of the old gardeners or anywhere else. someone here will surely know.

Hmm .....

That's neat, and would be interesting to follow up on!

Perhaps the Almanac Staff has someone with knowledge of this?

Hmm.... Hmm...

That's an echo Hmm..
For the edification of a few. Gemini be not twins but mirror images. If they stand back to back they see all, hear all. But unfortunately because they are facing both directions do not know if they are coming or going.
Come to think about it that describes most Gemini's I know.

Love It

Love It (oops, another echo!!)

I like this Gemini definition, similar to Pisces the 2 fishes swimming in opposing directions but tied by the tails.

Here's an interesting fact about thinking and speaking: there's actually a measurable distance of nerve pathways that are either shorter or longer for some people. Answering the question as to why some people are "slow" to respond or "quick" to spout off. (the things that get studied, my my my ...)

Have you noticed I'm probably a trivia freak? ;)

Just shows

(oche :- an echo coming back.)
that the musings of a person with a wealth of absolutely useless knowledge locked up in his brain can still be of use. Sometimes some of it escapes.
Now outgoings is when something goes out, ingoings is when they come in.
Out burst is when some thing bursts out
Inburst?

RE: Inburst?

Fodder for the imagination?

I can only hope that some of my flotsam and jetsam may be of some use to someone ... or not.

I don't like to be right, just fairly content.

It's a balance, being confident or always wondering if what you're doing is the right thing.

Poor Glenda B

Sorry Glenda B about this thread misdirection.
You really asked a sensible question and what did you get. A sane sensible answer, I think not. You really must think that there are some odd folk out here in this forum. There are, oddier than some, in fact oddier than most.

Glenda B's Question is Waiting ...

... for an answer still. I'm waiting for that someone who is planting in Gemini -- May 17th -- to see if it's true! Does this only apply to vege's?

And Humor's origin? What, not the funny bone? Hmmm... I've been wrong since the 2nd Grade? Holy Hanna.

We're just exercising our funny bone while we wait. :)

Because the Secret of Patience is Doing Something Else, right?

(come one, I can't be wrong twice in one post!!!!) :)

gemini does not fit the veggie moon

if the twins only pertain to gemini they don't fit the moon calendar for planting veggies or any above ground crops. I was hoping for some insight either pro or con on the twins.
