Hello just wondering if anyone has any tips for me. My cats (indoor) love eating my plants. Is there anything I can go that stops them from munching on them? They have even bitten a cactus. Also does anyone have or know where I can find a list of plants that are dangerous to cats. Thanks!
Mine love to eat my houseplant palm's, and one crazy cat after watching the others started eating the Spider plants!
The Palm trees I can see them wanting to eat since they are related to grass, but the Spider plants icky!
I tried buying them a container of pet grass, but neither the cats or dogs would touch it!
Try growing your own grass (I'm sure there are instructions somewhere in this site). I would like to know what it is in grass that they like.
... the difference between regular hay and alfalfa for horses.
It (wheat or barley grass) must smell richer to them, "greener".
Just about every houseplant I have is bad to fatal for plants, so up on stands and in hangers they have gone!!
Also it helps to grow Kitty Grass, here's what I get:

These lists helped me:

www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/plants/
www.amby.com/cat_site/plants.html
What is it about cats with you folk. Well one plant that is deadly is lillies, the stamens are poisinous so pull them out and destroy them ( the stamens not the cat)

I provided grass just for the cats so they won't bother nibbling my houseplants.
Thanks everyone. My cat's like spider plants too. They ate mine. And i did have cat grass at one time however my male cat decided it would be nice to pee in the dish so it died. I may have to try it again where I've had him fixed!
Just marking his territory!!
On the kitty grass, as Monty Python would say "Go Again" (but not the cat way!!) :)
You just sprinkle pepper on the surface of the pot. Along comes kitty sniffs the pot sneezes, knocks itself out. When it wakes up it won't go near that damn pot again. Cats have more sense than we give them credit.
