Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,

Am beginning to plant for Garden Wedding in zone 9 for April 25th 2015. Have raised garden beds that contain many large shrubs but would like to incorporate colors of white, yellow, gray and blue. Am unsure what is blooming at that time so any information is welcome. Have sandy soil and mixture of morning sun and afternoon shade. Can also plant containers to hang in shaded patio area.
Was thinking of white or blue hydrangea, white climbing roses, white azalea, yellow calla lilies, yellow gerbera daisys, daffodils, dusty miller, delfineum, hostas....
