My Aunt gave me a small piece of her gardenia. It had a small amount of roots and we potted it and put it on our patio. It hasn't been doing well so I checked today and its roots aren't doing well. What do I need to do? I am new to this gardening thing (I've grown some herbs before and that's about it) and need advice.


Gardenia's need plenty of water and a lot of sun!! U must keep the soil moist all the time they r thirsty plants :-) make sure if its on your patio to keep it in the sun... If its cold bring them in if the temp gets lower than 50° I have several gardenias and they smell so good :-) hope this helps a lil
