Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Anyone know when is a good time to prune my grape vines back? Also how much should I prune them.

Many thanks.

Prune in later winter / very

Prune in later winter / very early spring before the sap starts to run. Prune back to not less than about 6 inches from the main leader. Shorter than that will decrease production. I trim mine between 8 & 10 inches from the main leader.
