We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,

I have a problem with grass growing in my iris. I have an edger to prevent that but some always manages to get through. It is very hard to pull up it seems to wrap around the bulb and the roots are deep. I am constantly trying to get this grass out all summer. I know you can buy stuff to kill grass but it would harm my iris as well. It seems grass grows everywhere except where it should. I have even resorted to pulling the bulbs and cleaning it out but by and by it creeps in again. I could use a suggestion as to how to control the spreading of grass
