Hi everyone. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I would like to know how to cook Leeks.
What do they go with?
Any info will be appreciated.
They are great in soups (Minestrone, Mushroom & Leek soup, Smoked Sausage Soup with Cabbage & Leeks, etc!). I tend to use them in addition to onions for an added depth of flavor in soups. They're good w/ eggs (in quiches and fritattas). And they're wonderful as a side dish braised in chicken stock and some lemon juice and zest. Lemme know if you want specific recipes, I'll gladly share some.
I had never cooked with Leeks nor as far as I know have I tasted any that anyone else cooked.
