,,,,And then the power went out!
It was out for about 2 hours and 15 min.
My berry bushes are leafing out, my poplar cuttings at the edge of the pond look ready to do the same, the moisture will get the grass growing again,,,,but what an icky day for the power to go out for so long!
I was thankful I had plenty of wood in the house to keep the fire going through all this, as well as keeping it warm in here, the glass door makes such a nice cheer in the living room on such a dark day when no artificial light can be lit!
There was an icy crust of snow on the ground.
It left enough moisture to help get everything growing good, though it was barely enough to cover the grass and is gone now.
I got a few, though it was very few, rocks picked, I need to get more plowed up soon though,,,,I need to get the new garden spot plowed soon too, but right now I think it is too wet.
If I can find the garden tomorrow to plant potatoes,,,,it's been snowing all day, but at least it hasn't even been enough to even cover the ground yet, thanks to all the melting!
Just where are you located Larry? We had a light shower of hail yesterday but very light! I am in Port Orchard Washington and when I went to Manchester to shoot some shots on the camera it started to hail a little. Temps in the high 40s and low 50's looking for the 60's again.
The snow never amounted to anything, even though we had been reported to be to get 3-5" we only got .03" of melting precipitation, and that was from snowing all day!
