OK ... I was outside today watering, weeding.. refreshng all the water baths.. and uhoh I accendentially hosed an underground Yellow Jacket nest....They nailed me... clung to my clothes.. stung me everywhere. Especially my lips! Now I wouldn't hav emade a big deal about this... BUT my daughter's wedding is a week from TODAY! Then the pain started.. so I ran inside.. took a shower.. called hubby... who was not in his office called daughter who is an RN... she said GO TO URGENT CARE NOW!
Se said one bee sting is not bad but multiple you don'tknow how you will react. Off I drove.
Got to the Urgent Care.. thye ask am I allergic.. I said honey if I was allergic and had been stung as many times as I have been... I'd be dead by now. Point taken.
Got a shot and 2 prescriptions.
I look like MARGE SIMPSON.... you know how her upper lip hngs over the lower lip.... uhhhuh.....
Wow Deb the way you describe this incident its almost funny but I am sure it is more painful than funny. I hope everything heals up before your daughter's wedding and you don't suffer too much. Be careful in the future..... those little buggers can be bad.
You just have to quit keeping bee's as pets...
I know YB I know....Bumble bees are ok but you're right... no more Yellow jackets as pets! :-)
The swelling has been going down on my lips...I am now pretty confident that I 'll look ok for the wedding... Hubby will send ing these little suckers to heaven this weekend.
I saved two bees from drowning in the pond, then later on, one of the same bees I presume, landed on my shirt and wouldn't leave, as if it wanted to be kept safe by me! I finally had to scoop it off with a piece of paper to keep it from getting crushed by me on accident!
GOD BLSS YOU LARRY!! I LOVE my Bumble bees. THey are so fat and s gentle!
THANK YOU LARRY!
Te swelling is all gone!!!
Glad to here your feeling better!
Deb what an awful thing to have that happen, and I'm glad you're recovering.
Have a wonderful time at your daughter's wedding ... Blessings!!
Happy to hear you're doing better Deb! Enjoy the wedding! No blue hair like Marge has now!!!!! :)
