question about corn

I have a fairly large corn patch (golden bantam) it looks very nice .. it has tousled and is well over five feet tall.. but there are very few ears of corn on it.. some have none at all.. we had lots of rain until recently when the temps went into the ninety's.. so what could the problem be..
