Something growing on my garden wall

Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

Sincerely,
The Old Farmer's Almanac

There is a strange, orange-colored, foam looking, growth that appeared over night on my RR tie/ garden wall. It's about 6 inches long, an inch tall. I poked it, there's yellow like slime inside, when it dries, it's powdery. What in the world, has anyone ever seen anything like this? (I live in VA)

Sounds like powdery mildew,

that stuff will explode and grow from spores all over every thing, I've never actually had any myself, but have heard about it! YUCK!
