What an odd year, Spring hottest and dryest on record. Than weeks of wet cold then dry Autumn. Results Onions and shallots great crop( now in store) Carrots great crop only thing the Carrot fly got more than me. Runner Beans fantastic, Parsnips huge and very tasty. Weather at the moment absolutely gardeners nightmare 65F duringthe day and 32F at night. But the Dahlias and Roses are flowering like mad and the primroses thinks it's Spring.

Apples, oh deary me.

My Bramley cooker was a disaster. It didn't come into leaf until after most apples were flowering and I never had one flower on it so no cooker apples. Don't know why. Anybody any idea why?
