I am in Sussex, England. And of an age where I am full of old recipes from myself and my mum,nan etc. I am not sure if we have lost all our recipes from the old site. Hope not. I am the jam,chutney,pickle maker in our home, and have been for the 46 years we have been married. I am fast approaching 68 and am a keen gardener and like nothing better than to cook what I grow.

Hi Lisa - and welcome back. I've been wondering the same thing then I thought that some may not like the whole idea of a new site, can't run the threads, or either just gave up on trying to learn new tricks. I've seen many old names and lots of new ones also. I'm sitting back, reading, observing and waiting to see what all falls out after a few months. With the holidays coming up it should be interesting to see how many old and new "faces" are here after the first of the year. That will be a baseline to work from. Lots of folks will sign on to "happy" the holidays if they are ever going to do so or ever want to re-establish the links.

Hi everyone, I am new at posting but been on both old and new almanac sites. Just normally do my own thing since I am a busy lady in Northern Ohio. Homeschooling and feeding two teens keeps me on my toes. Hope everyone has a super Thanksgiving.

Hi I'm new on the site myself. I work on a computer all day at work, so don't get on too much during the week. Last thing I want when coming home is to be back on one. I’m from Aiken SC a real lovely town and love to cook. Hope to get to know some of you and learn some new tricks in the kitchen. I’m an old male but have been cooking since my teenage years because my mom passed when I was young. Hope everyone has a happy and blessed 2010!

I'm in the metro DC area and love to cook. Since my husband works overseas quite a bit, I like to try out new recipes (& if they're disasters, no one needs to know Hope there will be more posters soon.

IF the recipes don't work, you can always send them MY way, though I doubt IF they will be allowed across the Border into Canada.

I'm a ridgerunner from Arkansas, I'm a grandmother of, if ya count all step and adopted, 16 grandkids and 1 one the way and 1 Greatgrand. I cook alot in big ways lol I hope to find some good recipes that doesn't cost alot. Glad to meet everyone
