Hi all. I was formerly Tnspotter in the earlier days of OFA. We have now moved into our new home just ahead of the sleet, snow, freezing mix to hit yesterday. A glaze had form everywhere but with just a few degrees of temp rise, it melted over night.
We did receive our insurance $$ but only what was in the policy. Manage to find a nice foreclosed home and hit thrift stores to outfit the new home. Investigation is still on going as to the arson fire.
I will be trying in the next week to contact close friends here on OFA.
One other weather note, my husband had a narrow miss with the EF2 tornado to hit Huntsville, AL in the past week. Scared and filled everyone with awe and wonder at the same time.

Welcome Back!

It's so good to hear from you again! I remember your posts and the terrors you had been going through ... sorry to hear you had to relocate as a solution ... a pox on nasty people.

BUT good luck with your new home, despite icestorms and tornadoes, whew!

Welcome back,
Hopefully the whole thing will be sorted out soon.
The only real news here is that Stuie Passed away a couple of weeks ago.

Other than that, keep adding your 2 cents worth as before, and keep on keeping on !!

No more of our Stuie!

You won't believe the number of people we have known or folks on line who have left this world since the fire. I'm looking at it from the view we have some extra guardian angels to help us along in this life.
Using a lot of patience and hoping they arrest the idiots. I am thinking knowing how this county operates, they settled out of court and keep everything quiet.
Life is much better and the home we have is beautiful. We're still replacing a few things There's enough property to do all kinds of gardening. I am considering paying into a community garden group to have a steady supply of fresh veggies and fruits.
We live on a mnt. slope now and I will be trying to find ways to help direct rain run off around the house with a rock garden. Also will sign back up for the Cocorahs to measure rain/ice/snow here.
We will have several possible ice/snow events coming this week and next so keeping the kitty litter and salt at hand (driveway is sloped too). Since it easier to get back on OFA hoping more of the regular folks come back too.
