Can any tell me what the winter will be like in the Piedmont of North Carolina?
Thanks
In NC, it strongly depends on where you are in the state. As of right now, I am predicting temperatures to Run about Average to 0.5 degrees above average for the winter as a whole. As for snowfall, I can't really predict that as of this time, but I can say that I expect above average Precip, Some Cold Blasts, and some mild stretches. I personally predict this el nino will weaken into the winter, and will not be the main driver of the pattern. I'll answer any questions you have to the best of my ability.
I hope this helps.
I am 45 minutes to 1 hour south from the NC/VA border.
1 hour 45 minute West of Raleigh and north of Charlotte.I'm in the center of the state.
Thanks
Temps look average to me. If I have to guess at snowfall, I will say Average to Below Average, but that could change. I'll keep you posted.
thanks
So I guess the big question here is, what's the average around here? Except for my first winter here in NC, we've been lucky to see one snowfall a year, some sleet maybe but that's about it.
6" of snow is average for the Piedmont.
I was hoping for above this winter.
It could still happen.
Remember my prediction is just a prediction. It could go horribly wrong like it has soooooo many times before.
