Weather Zones

Our Forums Have Closed

Hi, Everyone,

We have decided to close the Almanac forums.

The good news: Now you have the ability to comment on the www.Almanac.com Web site pages!

The Web site has grown tremendously, with 12 million readers every month. You'll find folks who are weather watchers, gardening enthusiasts, stargazers, and more. Find advice, get answers to questions, and share your experiences.

Find the Almanac here, too!

Finally, a big THANK YOU to all those who have participated in and looked after the forums over the years!

I live at latitude 40 degrees,59'49" and longitude 79 degrees, 49'53". Is this Zone 6 or Zone 7?

What Town Is That?

Or -- like many of us -- if you live on the edge of 2 zones, take heed of both.

I live on the border of zones 3 & 2 ... sometimes my weather comes out of the west so I look at zone 3. Sometimes -- like last week's monsoon -- my weather is out of the south, so I look at zone 2.
