When should I trim my mums, and how much?
Hardy chrysanthemums need more care than you might think for a perennial. When they've grown to six inches, help make them bushier and sturdier by pinching off the tops of the stems. Do this every time your plants gain six to eight inches of growth in the stems. If you have cushion chrysanthemums, they do not need to be pinched off.
