A new gardening question of the day appears every day of the year on the front page of Almanac.com. Below is the answer to one of the questions from our Gardening Questions and Answers Archive where you can find over 400 more gardening questions (with answers!).
My African violet has white spots on its leaves. What are they, and how do I get rid of them?
It's probably nothing serious. The white spots may be caused by drops of water left on the leaves after you water. If you're watering the violet at night, it may be taking up the water, but then the water may be condensing on the leaves as the temperature cools down. You probably don't need to be concerned, but you could try watering the plant early in the day and not leaving water droplets behind.
