We set the default location for the entire site as Dublin, NH, (home of The Old Farmer's Almanac) when we can't automatically deduce your location from your IP address.

You can change the default location for the entire site by entering a location in the text box in the top right corner of the website underneath the Weather, Rise & Set, and Moon Phases tabs.

You can change the location for any tool on the site independently of the default location. For instance if you have a boat on the ocean you can set the tides for your boat location and the weather for your home location.

You must have cookies enabled in your web browser for the website to remember any of your location settings.

To close the pop-over ad do any of the following:

1) click in the area surrounding the pop-over

2) click the "Close" link the the top right corner

3) press the "esc" key.

If it does not close, please check that you are using the current version of your Web browser.

Pop-over ads are set to show no more than once per day, if you continue to see the pop-over ad on every page check that you have cookies enabled in your browser preferences.

In order for our site to remember you, cookies must be enabled on your browser. To enable cookies access your browsers preferences and set your browser to accept cookies. Please note that if you clear cookies when you log out the site will forget any locations you have entered.

You can also retrieve your password at any time.

In order for passwords to work, cookies must be enabled. You can do this by going into your preferences and setting your browser to accept cookies. Please note that your password is case-sensitive.

Also be sure that you are not using your forum password from the prior Almanac.com site. The forum password is no longer active.

In order to post on the forum you need to be a registered user, logged in and have cookies enabled in your web browser. You can register or login by following the links in the top right corner of the page, underneath the Weather, Rise & Set, and Moon Phase tabs. You can enable cookies by going into your preferences and setting your browser to accept cookies.

You no longer need a special forum password. To create or reply to posts, login using your normal web site registration username and password.

Please note that recipes from other Web sites could not be moved to our new web server. However, you should see all of your Almanac.com recipes.
