Storing sunflower seedsThe seeds need to be ripe and dried properly before storing. You can hang the seed heads in a sunny dry location to dry. Store the dried seeds in a paper bag in a dark cool place, away from critters, until ready to plant. Sow the seeds in good soil that has been amended with some compost or aged manure.
