A volunteer in my gardenA volunteer in my garden turned out to be a cantaloupe. It has vines all over the place and at first two cants appeared and grew large swiftly. Recently a third one died when it was about 4-5 inches. The vines are loaded with flowers, and some of them develop into baby cants, but they too die. We've been having vey hot weather, so I've been watering heavily (and incorrectly), and now I wonder if that's my problem. Is it too late to remedy the situation? I really appreciate this site!
