It is the first week ofIt is the first week of September and I have two ripe pumpkins, about the size of a basketball. The vines are still green. I want to harvest them before they get stolen or damaged, but I do not have the proper conditions (55 degrees) to store them until Halloween. The temperatures are still in the 70s to 80s. I have elevated the pumpkins to get them off the ground to (hopefully) prevent rot. Any suggestions you have regarding harvesting/ storing until Halloween would be greatly appreciated.
