It would seem a pity to yankIt would seem a pity to yank them.  And them may not last if you do. That would be quite a shock, mid-growth period. The best thing to do is cover much more than ever. Try a multi-layered method. Wrap the plants in sheets of plastic, even bubble wrap, which has air pockets. Don't necessarily "touch" the plants; use stakes to support the plastic around and over the tops of the group of plants or the plants individually, depending ontheir spacing.
