To get good snow, you need a negative North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO). It would slow down the fronts and let them really dump some snow. So far, most experts are saying the Arctic Oscillation will dump cold on NC but they can't agree when the NAO will go negative and add snow to the cold. Good luck -- miserable cold without snow is just boring!
