To the Editor: I continue toTo the Editor: I continue to enjoy immensely the Old Farmer's Almanac, as I have for many, many years. Two observations on this snowy South Dakota day: First, I sincerely hope your format change is successful. I suppose it is necessary -- but only if your publication is not profitable now. To change simply to drive more revenue without regard to the proud history of your publication would be unfortunate. However, I likely will not purchase the monthly publication. I love the annual almanac and am distressed it will cease. Second, to attribute "trickle down" economics to President Reagan is historically inaccurate. The media, not the president, used the label for his supply-side approach. In fact, the term was first used by Will Rogers and was used by Reagan detractors and political opponents to put his policy in a bad light.
